About Charline

Charline Shan, RPh, MPH has 2 decades of experience in the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry, including experience in rebate modeling, managed markets, health plans, and Medicare. Since joining Precision in 2016, Charline has played a pivotal role in projects such as payer value proposition development; biosimilars; value assessment of branded and generic medicines and devices; competitive simulations in diabetes, oncology and specialty markets; and market research in several therapeutic areas including diabetes and oncology.

Prior to Precision, Charline spent 19 years with Express Scripts, Inc. and the former Medco organization. In her role as Director for Medicare Formulary and Utilization Management, Charline and her team of clinical experts established National Medicare Formulary offerings and strategies that helped differentiate Express Scripts, Inc. During her tenure at Medco, Charline held various leadership roles that focused on PBM operations, custom client management, and clinical utilization management programs.

Charline is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP). She received her Master of Public Health in health systems and policy from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
